Just finished watching the last season of E.R.

E.R. Season 15 DVD Boxset
OK so after having a little trouble getting hold of this boxset (it's a whole long story of my parcel going missing, but the nice folks over at Amazon sent me a replacement) I finally sat down to watch the final season of one of my favourite T.V. shows and the only hospital/medical drama that I've ever been able to stomach.
I gotta say I felt a little disappointed. I thought the later seasons were not as good as the earlier ones anyway, but this season was hard to follow. As with the season before, there were too many new faces and you never felt that you had enough time to really grow to care about any of these characters.

I did enjoy the brief cameo's made be former cast members, in so much as it was nice to see them giving back to the fans (George Clooney especially), but I felt that they weren't very well used. I would have prefered some kind of epilogue with a montage of what everyones doing now with their lives. Seen where they live etc.
I enjoyed the conclusion of the Ray/Neela storyline as they were characters that I liked. I also found the ending quite moving in that it really captures the spirit of the whole show, the E.R. never stops and people come and go but the hospital stays the same and paitents still need help.

It wasn't really a bad ending to the show, it just sort of petered out, and I guess it had to stop sometime.

Original Cast 1994
Some of my favourite E.R. moments are the ones that happen away from the hospital, such as the sex discrimination lecture some of the staff had to attend, or Abby and Carter going to find Abby's mum.

I cried like a baby when Mark Greene died, and also found the episode where Lucy dies and Carter gets stabbed to be very emotional too.

I remember Carol being rushed into the E.R. in the pilot episode having taken an O.D. and her storylines through Tag and Shep and back to her final happy ending with Doug.

Most of the characters have been through big changes on the show, it's a big part of what makes it so interesting to watch, but I think Carter changes the most. He finally grows to accept who he is. Abby is perhaps the other character who changes the most, from nurse to doctor to mother.

If you've never seen E.R. and you like fast paced medical drama's I suggest you check it out!

Welcome to my blog!

Me
Hi everyone!
This is my new version of my scrapbook, which was previously an actual book. I'm not sure who's actually going to be interested in what I've got to say but I'm going for it anyway! I'll be updating as and when I've actually done stuff, nothing formal. It's probably going to be a random selection of things that I like, and since that changes from week to week that shouldn't get too boring!

Check out this clip on YouTube, I'm loving it at the moment!
